Greenslade Court is a building crafted for older residents and forms part of the wider regeneration of the Northcote town centre, contributing to a diverse and growing community. It delivers 52 Homestar 6-accredited homes for Kāinga Ora, in partnership with the Haumaru Trust.
The monolith form is defined by a strong, graphic sculptural expression, with its exterior envelope punctuated by dark, recessed balconies set within simplified volumes, offering views across Northcote and Rangitoto.
A restrained material palette of concrete, glass, and dark metal establishes a calm and confident presence, allowing the building to sit quietly within its built context.
Designed to prioritise accessibility, comfort, and wellbeing, the floor plate provides one-bedroom apartments across five levels, with layouts oriented to maximise natural light and privacy. A shared ground-floor community space fosters connection, allowing residents to gather, host events, and participate in activities in the adjacent Greenslade Park.
